36 Penny Pattern Cards Shapes and Prewriting lines

Do your students need to work on their fine motor skills or in hand manipulation skills with money? This is a task box where students include 28 cars where pick up pennies and copy a design and 4 in hand manipulation cards (palm to finger translation).

All you need to do is print, laminate (optional or put in sheet protectors), and cut (optional) to put into a 4 x 6 task box. You also need at least 12 pennies (fake or real).

There are a total of 36 cards. Some cards feature pre-writing strokes, others feature shapes or other designs (ie: pyramid, steps). This goes from easy to hard.

Page 3: A picture to put on the outside of the task box and inside the task box

Pages 4-8 include VERY simple, 1, 2 or 3 penny designs

Pages 9-13 include pre-writing strokes

Pages 14-19 include miscellanies type patterns

Pages 20-21 include in hand manipulation (palm to finger translation)

Each card has VISUAL directions.

This is perfect for RTI / MTSS as an intervention for in hand manipulation, fine motor skills and hand strength.This is great for visual scanning, visual perceptual skills, coordination, visual motor integration and fine motor. This is also a perfect activity for occupational therapists OT, teachers, speech pathologists SLP, special education SPED teachers and other school professionals while working on skills!

 

I am a school occupational therapist who has a doctorate in occupational therapy. I work closely with special education and general education staff adapting material. This is where I get my inspiration for this material. I have used my materials with a variety of children with different disabilities including learning disabilities, dyslexia, autism, sensory processing disorder, ADD, ADHD, visual impairments, deaf/hard of hearing, cerebral palsy, down syndrome and more.
