Self Regulation Check In with Coping strtagies

$3.00

Are you looking for a check in with energy level / emotions and exercises to help support regulating their energy level / emotions? This packet is for you! Resources include a visual schedule, a one page check in with exercises, one page with each emotion, and pages with small visuals. This features the colors pink, orange, green and blue.

Directions

•Page 3: Morning check in

•Page 4: Check in (without morning routine)

•Page 5: One full page of all emotions with simple pictures and activities to help support self regulation

•Page 6: Check in that students can do. Laminate this page on sturdy card stock or place on cardboard. Students can use a clothespin to clip their clothespin to where they are feeling or a magnet.

•Pages 7 – 10: One page of each emotion with activities.

•Pages 11-12: These two pages have small visuals that can be cut out to put on the chart to help give student a visual of activities to perform. I suggest laminated with thick laminate. I then put Velcro so students can attach the cards to each number and taken off after completing the exercises. Each exercise has a color associated with it (blue, green, orange, pink). Some of these exercises are in more than one category.

This is a perfect supplement to your social emotional and self regulation program. This helps to expand your student’s current self regulation toolbox. This gives different sensory motor strategies. This is perfect for general education students but also students with Autism spectrum disorder, ADHD, ADD, sensory processing disorder, and other special needs. This can be used with general education, RTI, MTSS, special education, occupational therapy, speech language pathology, and social work.

This also supports core strength, crossing midline, coordination, gross motor, and motor planning.

I am a school occupational therapist who has a doctorate in occupational therapy. I work closely with special education and general education staff adapting material. This is where I get my inspiration for this material.
