Integrating the Plantar Reflex Through Play-Based Activities
Build balance, posture, and motor coordination—through movement-rich, purposeful play.
This comprehensive resource is designed to support the integration of the Plantar Reflex—a key primitive reflex that impacts how children use their feet for balance, coordination, and body awareness. When the Plantar Reflex remains active past infancy, it can interfere with walking patterns, toe walking, balance reactions, and even posture and core strength.
With 34 playful and functional activities, this guide empowers therapists, educators, and caregivers to embed reflex integration into everyday movement. Each activity supports grounding through the feet, controlled lower body movement, and sensory-motor integration in a way that feels fun—not forced.
What’s Inside:
Whether you’re working with young walkers or older kids who need more postural support, this guide offers practical tools to help every child feel more stable, confident, and connected to their body.
Because confident movement starts from the ground up.
